Google starts rolling out Marshmallow update to Android One devices
Google has announced to officially roll out its most recent version of operating system Android Marshmallow 6.0 just a couple of days ago and unsurprisingly, the high profile Nexus devices are very first host and welcome the latest update.
However, according to some recent reports, the search giant is also hospitable enough to give Marshmallow injection to its Android One devices that are actually budget phones, designed for the emerging markets including Pakistan and India.
As reported by GSM Arena, the rollout of Marshmallow in Android one has already started, at least for first-generation Android One handsets such as the Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, and Spice Dream Uno. Meanwhile, Android one users in India have started receiving the update notification.
Not to mention here that Android One smartphones got Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update in June directly from Android 4.4 Kitkat.
In Pakistan, Google launched its affordable smartphone platform in collaboration with theCountry’s smartphone giant Qmobile which is currently holding the highest 58% share in handsets.
It remains to be seen when the Android One users of Pakistan will be getting the latest Marshmellow update while you can check out the specifications and new features of Android Marshmallow by clicking here.
